Yes, it is true! The Mighty Titans (Chad's fast pitch Softball team) have finally won a game! Chad is floating about 5 feet off the ground! Their game went very well on Wednesday!
As for the last few weeks, we had a combined activity with the Young Men and Young Women and went to Seven Peaks, we had a good time, but during our great time, we saw ambulances and a firetruck and I asked the leaders I was with, "how would we know if that was one of our kids??" Well, come to find out it was the Young Men's President, he broke his back in 3 places and will be in a large brace for the next 3 to 4 months. Yeah, so scary, this and he has 5 small kids!
Well this last week we didn't go to Youth Conference as planned. Since I didn't have any girls going this year we were suppose to be at my parents house, but with me not feeling well and my parents having the flu we decided to hibernate in our own house. This summer has been such a great time for the two of us and we can't believe it is going to be gone so soon! We are however counting the hours until we leave for New York, super excited!!

How in the world did that poor man break his back!?!?!? I've been thinking it would be fun to go to Seven Peaks while we are there in August but this defnintely makes me reconsider!
Only 3 more days to go!!!
It always feels great to win! Congrats.
I hope you have a great time in New York. Can't wait to read all about it.
I too was wondering how in the world the terrible back-breaking accident occurred...
He road this ride called the boom-a-rang...(sp?) basically it looks like a taco, that you ride on a tube. He was riding backwards, and on the first side down he told his wife that he thought he had broken his back. Basically you slide up from side to side until you lose momentum. When the ride ended he couldn't sit up or even move and in tons of pain, they took him off in a backboard and neck brace. Apparently on this first side down he hit really hard and compressed/fractured three vertebra.
Oh man! I have been on that ride numerous times...but never backwards. Maybe that was the problem.
