Well I think it is time to catch you up on us. Sorry it has been so long between posts. I have been up to my eyeballs in work and church calling it seems. I finished the school basketball season on February 27th. Both of our teams made it to the state playoffs, and the girl's team made it to the quarterfinals. I was very excited for them as this is the first year we have won a playoff game on the girl's side since 1997. A whole decade of trying finally worked out!
Anyway, 3 days later I was right back in a gym supervising the first of what has proven to be 4 straight weekend of Church basketball tournaments. March Madness to be sure! I have definitely seen lots of hoops between Church and TV lately. Luckily tomorrow is the last day of the tournament. What a relief!
Elsewhere in life, Amy continues to stay busy with work and her Young Women. What a blessing those girls are to us and especially to Amy. We are also preparing to leave on April 12th for this year's high school Choir Tour. We will be lucky enough to catch a Broadway show (Wicked) and go to Disneyland for a couples of days on our trip to Anaheim, CA.
We had our first parental "scare" yesterday. We came home from work to a puking puppy. It was obvious as we walked the house that she had been sick from both ends throughout the day. Then we took her outside for a bout of puking and she tried to go potty. The scary part was when she was doing her her business she started to bleed. Well, needless to say, that scared us. We called the vet immediately and got her in. The vet assured us that the bleeding was normal due to the straining while ill. He gave her a shot and checked a sample for parasites. She really yelled at him for that one. She was clean for parasites thankfully. He gave us a couple of prescriptions and sent us on our way. Thankfully we both had the day off today so we have been able to watch over her. She seems to be doing much better and has not had any further "issues". Wow! How do you parents deal with it when it's one of your human children? This just about killed us with our "baby". Well, I think that gives you an idea of what we are up to. We think of you all often and hope all is well. Hopefully we will have more to share a little sooner next time.
