Happy Easter

Bok, Bok Easter Bunny! With plans for Ham, Rolls, Layered Jello Salad, and all other Easter must haves. Not only will we be full and content we only have our normal block of three hours, yes, don't fall over! No disciplinary councils, extra speaking assignments, stake meetings or Young Women's activities. Yahoo! What a way to celebrate the true meaning of Easter. We love you all and wish you were here (or at least that we were with you)!

Utah

Yes, we are alive! We are trying to keep up with Mom in working out, eating well, sleeping more, and drinking nasty apple flavored, powdered "fruit"...there are better names for it, but we will let you use your imagination. We have entered Spring Break for Amy and March Madness and thankfully we have a few days off together!

We never call or write...

Life has been busy. Not like everyone else isn't busy, but yeah. Busy a.k.a. Chaos.
For instance:
Basketball - American Fork Girls taking 2nd in state, yes actually beating Bingham High's team in the process. AF boys didn't do as well, but thankfully all Basketball games are over this week with Bingham Boy's playing in the semi-finals against Brighton tomorrow and then possibly on Saturday for the 5A region champs?
Now? Spring Sports, with tryouts/registration all this week!
Foreign Language - Chad finishes up the last of 6 full work days of Foreign Language Fairs including this last Saturday, incorporating a film contest, scavenger hunt, luncheon and numerous activities done completely around his real job of Athletic Director : )
Parent Teacher Conferences - Thankfully only for Amy!
Church: Weeks and weeks of ward conferences, speaking assignments, Standards Nights, Camp meetings, Stake Dances, and New Beginnings for Amy.
School: Yes, my honey is AMAZING!!! All that has been going on and he still pulls an A in his class that ends this Sunday!

So now what? Well, we are dragging our tired bodies and running away to Salt Lake this weekend, to hide in a hotel, play in Salt Lake and veg! Happy belated Valentines to the both of us!

So cool! Or should I say warm?

It's winter. Temperatures drop and typing your blog can be a frosty experience. These warming gloves plug into a USB port and keep you typing for hours with no danger of frostbite.

New Cars

I can't say I am grateful that Chad was in a car accident, but I can say that I did somewhat benefit from his tragedy. Several days after Chad's accident we received paperwork from Chrysler offering to buy out the rest of the lease on the remaining car. Coincidence? No, once again Manna from our Heavenly Father. It never ceases to amaze me that He carries us in His hand constantly through our lives.
So we decided to possibly look for two car while trying to replace Chad's car. We went after Christmas and without much looking we found two matching Dodge Nitros, BYU Blue for Chad and Red for Amy, we haven't quite concluded if it is U of U Red (lol) or American Fork High red. Never the less, we are both very happy especially since we have had tons of snow within the last month and love having 4 wheel drive again.

Life continues to move way too fast in Utah, we have both finished off the 2nd quarters at our schools and can't believe that the school year is half way over.

Church callings still tend to take the highest priority in our life, with Young Women activities, New Beginnings, and beginning camp preparations; and Chad attending ward conferences weekly and speaking more often than not. I can say I am very happy that he isn't a "dry" High Counselor. I still love to hear him speak and am amazed that he can so easily prepare and give talks.

This next week we are going to St. George, chaperoning the Women's A Capella choir to the UMEA Convention. We are hoping it will be a lot warmer than the 20's that we have been experiencing at our house.

Utah Update II

Has another month really gone past so quickly? It feels like we have never stopped! So here it goes, a month on fast forward. We have seen multiple amazing Football games and now even Basketball games, played at Bear Lake in a fabulous condo. We have finished Young Women in Excellence, planned Young Women's budgets, dipped and decorated dozens of Carmel apples (our Christmas gifts at work), helped friends in need, played tons, and even killed another car.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and hope and pray this next year brings joy and happiness to all. Love, Chad and Amy

Utah Update

Well we have made it through the first Quarter at Bingham High without blowing up the attendance office or injuring slacker students. We have also made it through the final American Fork Football game of the season without poaching issues or a brawl! We have been busy with Church responsibilites, Masters classes and work and it seems like the months are just flying by. We now look forward to Thankgiving with Amy's family this next week, Young Women's in Excellence next Sunday and an overnighter the following weekend to Bear Lake (an effort to run away from the rest of the world). We want to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
